CMPT 857: Readings in Bioinformatics

This course reviews and discusses recent advances and issues in Bioinformatics through paper presentations by students. Topics will range from computational biology to artificial life and biological computation. Students will be evaluated based on their presentations and participation, as well as a small project.

Prerequisites: Open to graduate students in computer science, life sciences, and natural sciences, but subject to permission of the instructors. Advanced undergraduate students may also take the course, subject to approval of the instructors and having 60 senior credit hours in any of computer science, life sciences, or natural sciences.
